About Books in 60 Seconds

Books in 60 Seconds exists for one reason: the best ideas in the world are trapped inside books most people never finish. We read bestselling self-improvement, psychology, and business books — then distill each one to its core ideas in a few minutes of reading (or watching).

How our summaries are made

Every summary on this site is written in our own words. We read the book, identify the 2–3 ideas that actually matter, and explain them plainly — with practical takeaways you can use the same day. We never copy the author's text, and we always link to the full book so you can go deeper when a book earns it.

Each summary also appears as a 60-second video on our YouTube channel, where new books drop regularly.

Fair use

Every summary on this site is an original paraphrase written in our own words. We never reproduce a book's text: the only quotations are brief, attributed lines of a sentence or two, used to illustrate an idea. The books themselves — their full text and covers — belong to their authors and publishers, and every summary links to the full book so you can read the original.

Who runs this site

Books in 60 Seconds is an independent, one-person project run by Zohaib Haider, a reader and creator based in Pakistan. There is no publishing house, sponsor, or editorial team behind it: every book is chosen, read, and summarized by the same person who runs the matching YouTube channel — where each summary is also published as a short video. The goal has stayed the same since the first summary: help busy people decide which books deserve their time, and give them the core ideas of the ones that do in a few minutes.

Because the site is independent, we can be honest. If a famous book is padded, repetitive, or not worth your money, the summary says so. If a lesser-known book is genuinely life-changing, it gets the same careful treatment as a bestseller. Reader trust is the whole business model — the moment a summary reads like an advertisement, the project has failed at its only job.

How this site makes money

This site is reader-supported through affiliate links. Affiliate disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a "Get the book on Amazon" button and buy the book, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. It keeps the summaries free and the site running.
