Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you visit Books in 60 Seconds (books60seconds.pages.dev), how it is used, and the choices you have. Books in 60 Seconds is an independent book-summary website and YouTube channel operated by Zohaib Haider. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at zhbhaider@gmail.com or through our Contact page.
1. Information we collect
This website has no user accounts, no comments system, and no checkout. We do not ask for or collect your name, address, phone number, or payment details when you browse the site.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard technical log information when you visit — such as your browser type, device type, the pages you viewed, and the time of your visit. This information is aggregated and anonymous; we use it only to understand which summaries readers find useful and to keep the site secure and working.
If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. Newsletter subscriptions are handled by our email provider, Kit, and your address is used only to send the newsletter you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
2. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. This website itself sets no first-party tracking cookies. However, third-party services we use — described below — may set cookies when you visit, in particular:
- Google AdSense advertising cookies (see Section 3).
- Kit, our email provider, may set a cookie when you interact with the newsletter signup form, so the form works correctly.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading any part of this website.
3. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
This website uses Google AdSense to display advertising, which helps keep our summaries free.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and/or other sites on the Internet. This includes Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. For more detail on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps and Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Amazon Associates and affiliate links
Books in 60 Seconds is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Affiliate disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Book pages on this site contain links to Amazon. If you click one of those links, Amazon may place a cookie on your device so that your purchase can be attributed to this site; if you buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Once you are on Amazon's website, your activity there is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive any information about you personally from Amazon — only anonymous, aggregated reports of clicks and purchases.
5. Analytics
We do not run Google Analytics or any advertising pixel of our own on this website. The only usage information we see is the anonymous, aggregated technical log data described in Section 1, plus anonymous statistics from the third-party services above (for example, how many people clicked an Amazon link, reported to us in aggregate by Amazon).
6. Links to other websites
Our pages link to external sites, mainly Amazon and YouTube. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies when you visit them.
7. Children's privacy
This website is written for adult readers interested in non-fiction books. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info; block or clear cookies in your browser; and unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. If you subscribed to the newsletter and would like your email address deleted from our list entirely, email us at zhbhaider@gmail.com and we will remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in our newsletter.
10. Contact
Site owner: Zohaib Haider (Books in 60 Seconds). Questions about this policy or your privacy: zhbhaider@gmail.com, or via our Contact page.
Appendix: privacy for our Android apps
This page also serves as the privacy policy for our Android companion apps, including AI PDF Doctor. The app-specific policies for our other apps are on their own pages; the policy below applies to AI PDF Doctor.
What the app does
AI PDF Doctor lets you open PDF documents and use AI features (ask questions, summarize, translate, extract tables, generate quizzes). All PDF text extraction happens on your device; your documents are never uploaded to our servers.
Data we collect
We collect nothing. We operate no servers, no accounts, and no analytics for the app. The app works fully offline except for the AI features you explicitly request.
AI features (Google Gemini)
When you use an AI feature, the relevant document text and your question are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the answer. This requires you to enter your own free Gemini API key in the app's Settings. Your API key is stored encrypted on your device only and is never shared with us or any third party other than Google for the API call. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising (AdMob)
The app may display ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's system settings.
Permissions and children
The app requests only Internet access (for AI features and ads). It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or storage permissions. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone, including children.
