CalorieTrack ("the app") is a calorie and fitness tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is protected.
Everything you enter in CalorieTrack — your profile (age, height, weight, goals), food diary entries, weight logs, water intake, favorites, and settings — is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. We do not operate servers, we do not create accounts, and we never transmit your diary or health data to us or to any third party.
Advertising (Google AdMob). The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This version of the app uses Google's test ad units. If you grant the app location permission, Google's ad services may also collect coarse (approximate) location to make ads geographically more relevant; precise location is never collected for ads.
Barcode lookup (Open Food Facts). When you scan a product barcode, the app queries the Open Food Facts database (world.openfoodfacts.org) to fetch that product's nutrition facts. Only the barcode number is sent. See Open Food Facts Terms of Use.
Health data (Health Connect). If you grant permission, the app reads your step count from Health Connect on your device to estimate activity calories. Step data never leaves your device.
Camera access is used solely for scanning product barcodes. Images from the camera are processed on-device and are never stored or transmitted by the app.
CalorieTrack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
You can erase all app data at any time from Settings > Erase all my data, or by uninstalling the app, which removes its private storage.
CalorieTrack is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Calorie and nutrition targets are estimates for general wellness only. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any weight-loss program or diet.
